Airtable

Connect Airtable to build apps on your bases, with permissions a shared base can't express. Give each team the records it should see, add approvals to the changes that matter, and log every edit by name. When a base hits its limits, move it into Stockroom and keep the app.

01 — Overview

Airtable is often where a process first gets structure: an inspection log, a content calendar, an asset register. As more people depend on it, teams need more control than a shared base offers. Chamfer lets you keep the base and put an app in front of it. It connects with a scoped token, so it reaches only the bases you choose.

Describe the tool and the Bench reads your tables, field types and linked records. Each role sees only the records and fields it should, even when they sit in one table. Changes that matter, such as retiring an asset or closing a fault, can wait for an approver, and every edit is in the Logbook. If a base reaches its record limit or gets too slow, import it into Stockroom and the app keeps working with the same screens.

02 — What you can do

Linked records

Linked fields become lookups and detail panels, so related records are a click away.

Record-level access

Show each role only its own records and fields, even inside one shared table.

Room to grow

Import a base into Stockroom when it outgrows Airtable, and keep the same app.
